Charles Chibuike’s Hat-Trick Fires Doma United Into The Federation Cup Round Of 16
Charles Chibuike struck a hat-trick as Doma United secured a place in the Federation Cup round of 16 with a 4-0 victory over FR Ebunuajia at the Area 3 Football pitch in Abuja on Wednesday.
The striker gave us a first-half lead just twelve minutes into the game. After receiving a pass from Zaidu Moh’d, Chibuike controlled the ball with his left foot before drifting it to his right and fires in a low shot at the bottom left corner to put us ahead.

Haruna Aliyu who is popularly called LBC nipped in a bullet header to extend United’s lead in the 52nd minutes. A beautiful interplay between Hillary Ekawu and Usman Musa ends with a beautiful cross from the right flank to find Haruna Aliyu at the far post who heads in past the keeper.

Bidemi who has been lively throughout the game ran past his marker from the left side to find Chibuike with a low cross and he tapped in his second.
His third was a brilliant individual effort by second half substitute usman Musa carved through the Ebunuajia’s defence to release Chibuike who made no mistake to score and claimed his third in the game.
The win secured our place in the Federation Cup round of 32 and kept us in the chase for the trophy.
After drawing at home against Rangers over the weekend in the NPFL, Akinade Onigbinde made three changes to his starting line-up. Chibuike who missed out last weekend through suspension returned to the starting line alongside Samuel Enefiok while Zaidu Moh’d came in for Andrew Majalisa at left back.
Kingdom was mostly a spectator throughout the game as there was no trouble for him at all but the lower division side made a confident start despite United controlling possession and playing high up the pitch, although Kingdom Osayi was called to action midway through the first half.
Haruna Aliyu’searly second half goal gave Akinade the opportunity to take out some of his starters from the game with Bidemi Owoku, Samuel Matthew, Junior Clement and Saifullahi both replaced by Jumbo Wisdom, Jerry Agwu, Emmanuel Ogwuche and Usman Adamu.
Doma United will now awaits its next opponent in the round of 16 when the draw is conducted.

We return to Nigeria Premier Football League action on Thursday 18th May when we face Rivers United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt with 4pm kick-off.
It gives United the chance to go above the Rivers side who are currently ahead of United on goal difference in second with two more outstanding games to play.
