Doma United Pays Courtesy Visit to Gombe State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development

The management of Doma United, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Adamu Inuwa Pantami, at his office. The visit aimed to express gratitude for the continuous support received from the ministry and to acknowledge the youth-friendly programs initiated by His Excellency Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya across the state.

Saidu Umar, speaking on behalf of the delegation, expressed appreciation for the Commissioner’s audience and conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for his unwavering support. Umar stated, “We are truly grateful for the consistent support from the Commissioner and Governor. Their commitment to youth development and sports in Gombe State has been instrumental in our success.”

The Commissioner, in response, commended Doma United for providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and for elevating the name of Gombe on the national stage. He specifically lauded the efforts of Alhaji Suleiman Umar, the Chairman of Doma United, for his dedication to running the affairs of the club efficiently.

“I commend Doma United for putting Gombe on the national map through their contributions to football. Alhaji Suleiman Umar’s leadership has been pivotal, and we appreciate his efforts in advancing the sporting landscape of our state,” Commissioner Pantami remarked.

Both parties emphasized the importance of unity, highlighting that both Gombe United and Doma United represent Gombe State in the Nigeria Premier Football League. They urged fans to work together harmoniously to continue projecting a positive image of the state on the national sports scene.

As the first stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League concludes, Doma United currently holds the 4th position on the league table with 32 points, while Gombe United occupies the 19th spot with 18 points. The management teams expressed optimism about the upcoming matches and pledged to continue working towards the advancement of football in Gombe State.
