IMC Announced New Dates For Our Matchday 16 & 18

The Interim Management Committee has rescheduled all Matchday 18 in group B of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League in order to give room for outstanding games involving Rivers United to be concluded.

In a mail sent to various clubs involved on Tuesday, the IMC confirmed that Doma United’s earlier rescheduled match day 16 earlier scheduled for 30/4/2023 will now be played on Thursday 18^th May 2023 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

“In a bid to successfully conclude the 2022/2023 NPFL season, all matchday 18 games in group A will be played on Sunday 14^th May, 2023 as scheduled. Outstanding games involving Rivers United FC will be concluded before the matchday 18 games of group B which have been collectively rescheduled for Sunday 21^st May, 2023 respectively”. The mail partly reads.

The mail also indicated that Rivers United’s outstanding matchday 12 against Sunshine Stars will be played on Monday 15^th May, 2023.

In the same vein, the IMC has proposed Tuesday 23^rd May to Saturday 3^rd June, 2023 as dates for the 2022/2023 Championship Super 6 playoffs in Lagos. The league body advised potential teams to put necessary logistics in place ahead of the playoffs.

Doma United are 3^rd on the log of group B, tied on point with Rivers United who are ahead on goal difference.

The Savannah Tigers will play their final game of the season away at Abia Warriors on the 21^st of May, 2023 at the Umuahia Townshhip Stadium, Umuahia in Abia State.
